Guiseppe “Joe” Immucci
January 21, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Giuseppe “Joe” Immucci peacefully on January 21, 2025 at the age of 70 years in Fort Myers, Florida.
Joe, a beacon of kindness and laughter, will be lovingly remembered by his wife Mena of 40 years. Their children Andrea (Steven), David (Brittney) and grandchildren Dominic, Anthony, Sienna and Victoria. His sister Giovanna Immucci (Aldo), and his nephew Davide Mariani (Silvia). Pre-deceased by his parents Maria and Antonio Immucci, his in-laws Domenico and Lina Sauro his brother-in-law Nick. Survived by Nick’s wife Julie, his nephews Silvio and Amilio, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held at Colonial Country Club in Fort Myers, Florida in recognition of his love of tennis (played 6 hours daily, 6 days a week and an active member of 2 tennis travel teams) and as a testament to the incredible warmth and support we have been blessed to be a part of for so many years.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the medical team at the Gulf Coast Medical Centre for their unwavering around-the-clock care and compassion. A dedicated team of 15 first responders, 3 cardiologists and 2 private nurses managed to keep Joe with us until he was able to say his last goodbyes. My experience in the past 2 weeks is that there are angels here on earth and they find us in our hour of need. Over the past 2 years, 3 mighty pillars have fallen beside me; so many new pillars magically swooped in and have been giving me the love and courage required to navigate the repatriation process.
A funeral service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, February 14, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation/prayer service one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

I have known Joe for several years. I had the pleasure of playing tennis with him (and against him) at the German Tennis Club. He was a very talented player but more importantly, he was a gentleman and sportsman. He had a quick wit and a great sense of humour. It was always nice to be around Joe. I have fond memories of our rallies and games, like a chess match on clay. I will miss his presence very much. My deepest condolences to Joe’s family.
