Passed away peacefully at LHSC- University Hospital on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at the age of 78, survived by brother Lawrence (Diane) and nephew Deron (Elizabeth) and their son Matthew. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Doris, and her niece Merritt.
Delia was born in London, Ontario, on August 15, 1946. She graduated from South Collegiate before attending the University of Ottawa. Upon graduation, she returned to London and took a position with London Life. During her years at London Life she was able to develop and satisfy a love for travel and made a number of trips to Europe and even to Egypt. After a number of years at London Life, she had a new calling. She returned to school and earned a Master of Divinity at Western University and moved to Nelson, B.C., to take a position in the chancery office. While there, she began further studies and finally earned her Masters Degree in Canon Law from the University of Ottawa. She moved to Edmonton and put her legal skills to work as a canon lawyer for the marriage tribunal in the Edmonton Catholic Dioceses. Upon retirement, she moved back to London and reunited with longtime and new friends.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Delia’s life will be held at a time to be determined. Donations in memory of Delia may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Delia, you are missed so much. I will never forget your smile, kindness and wise words. Through all that you suffered you always felt God’s love for you. A example for all of us to follow. May you rest in peace in his love. Condolences for your family.
