It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Ray Donald McLean, peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, August 26, 2024, in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Margaret Isabella (née Finleaon) in 2019. Loving father of Melinda and Edward. Proud grandfather of Brandi and Ray Robbins, Ashley Finch (Chuck Belkosky), Shannen McLean-Ballentyne (Jeremy), Makenzie McLean (Sami Smith). Great-Grandpa of Hudson, Avery, Quinn Ballentyne, Charlie Finch-Belkosky, Olivia Robbins, and Callaghan McLean-Smith. Survived by his brother Alex (Eileen) and sister Jean Douglas, as well as several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Martyn and Kathleen McLean, and brother-in-law Bill Douglas. Sincere thank you to the palliative care team, Dr. Kirk Hamilton, Dr. Ed Stack, SEHC nurse Shan, VON PSW’s Jessica and Abdula, for your care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 30, 2024 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where a visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., with funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Alvinston Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray’s name may be made to Verspeeten Family Cancer Centre or Diabetes Canada.

Lin and Ed. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. Growing up he was always "Uncle Ray" to me. I have such fond memories of our families camping together and all the winters going from hockey rink to hockey rink. Your dad, had such a kind heart and treated all of us like family. He will be missed, but has left so many wonderful memories in our hearts.
