Alice Eva Barton (née Leblond)

At the age of 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, August 22^nd, 2024, in London, Ontario. Alice was a cherished figure among her family and friends, known for her independence and resilience. She faced her share of life’s challenges and found great joy in spending time with her loved ones. Alice loved our many road trips to North Bay and Manitoulin Island and visits to see her brothers, nieces and nephews.

Alice is survived by her devoted children, William Barton (Vicki) and Ken Barton of London, and Lynda Barton of Switzerland. Also loved by her grandchildren, Krystal (Adam Swan), Ashley (Dan Boyce) and Sarah (Marwan Aziz). Alice was a delighted great-grandmother to Francis and George Boyce; Sadie, Jonah and Sylvie Swan; and Jacob Aziz. She also leaves behind her brothers, Johnny and Donald Leblond, along with many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Divine Parish, 390 Base Line Road West, London on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada, a cause close to Alice’s heart. Alice’s kindness and loving spirit will be dearly missed and she will be remembered by all who knew her.
