Peacefully on Monday, May 20, 2024, at Riverview Gardens Long-Term Care, Chatham, Joan Herrick passed away at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Thomas Herrick for 60 years. Dear mother of Donna Bridge (Wayne) and Linda Smith (Ken). Cherished grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her two brothers, Donald Carton and William Carton.
Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, May 27, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., with a graveside service to follow at Woodland Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

i was saddened to learn of Joan's passing. I always enjoyed our visits here at Chatham Retirement Resort. She was always so pleasant and looked so lovely (usually in purple). It was so special to know her even for such a short time and she spoke so fondly of her daughters and many grandchildren. I am sure that she will be really missed in your family circle. May God be with you as you reflect on those wonderful memories.

Linda, Donna and family: I was so sorry to read in the paper the passing of your mother. She was such a good neighbour, friend and as beautiful inside as out.
