Donna McClellan
July 19, 1944 - May 15, 2024
Donna Mae McClellan (formerly Langs; nee Gingerich), age 79, passed away peacefully at London Health Sciences Centre on May 15, 2024, in the loving presence of her daughter Valerie (Langs) Wise (Rob) and her son Kevin Langs (Sue Moran).
Donna was predeceased by her husband Donald McClellan.
Donna was the beloved grandmother of Sedona, Sawyer, Tara (Spencer), and Courtney (Scott) and great-grandmother to Delilah, Olive and Sonny. The day before she passed, Donna enjoyed a wonderful visit with her sisters Pauline (late Harley) Ross and Susan (Dave) Bice and brother Keith Gingerich (Gary Lewis), who will miss her dearly. Donna is predeceased by her sisters Ruth Martin (Maggie Perquin) and Yvonne (late Deryl) Gillies.
Donna was born in New Hamburg, Ontario and grew up in Nairn, Ontario with her parents Reuben and Fanny Gingerich, four sisters and brother. She attended Rockway Mennonite Collegiate in Kitchener. She then raised her own family in Nairn and Strathroy before returning to Kitchener-Waterloo, where she transitioned to a new career at Boehmers. It was in Kitchener where she met and married Don.
Donna had recently moved to a beautiful new apartment in the Village of Glendale Crossing in London, Ontario, where she loved to participate in bingo and trivia, music, attend church services and enjoy meals with her new friends.
For over 30 years, Donna bravely managed her multiple sclerosis with grace and she modeled gratitude every day. She remained positive and courageous in her management of the disease to the end.
The family wishes to extend its gratitude to the dedicated staff at Independent Living Waterloo Region who helped Donna to live independently for many years, to the wonderful staff at the Village of Glendale Crossing Retirement Home who made her last months so memorable and to the caring and compassionate staff in the palliative care unit at LHSC who helped Donna and our family through the final stages of her life.
The family welcomes friends and loved ones to a memorial reception on Friday, May 24, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel in London, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations to the MS Society of Canada are appreciated.

I was sad to hear of Donna's passing. My deep condolences, I have known Donna since she attended YMCA in Kitchener and my Aunt taught the aquatics and I cut Donna's hair and her husband at the time.
