Marjorie ‘Marj’ Gertrude Richardson
1924-2024
Marjorie Richardson, passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 30th, 2024. Wife of the late Dr. C. Douglas Richardson, Marj was a loving mother to Drs. Barbara, Donald (Sylvia) and Janet (Patrick Flaherty) Richardson. She delighted in being Gramma to Brent, Eric, Mark, Kirsten, James, and Julia. Her three great-granddaughters Lauren, Willa, and Violet brought her such great joy in her later years.
Marj was so appreciative of those who supported her. Drs. Candice McKee and John Demarco were among many who gave her exceptional care over the decades. In the past eight years at Amica, she valued the extra attention from special staff, and the family are also grateful for the palliative care she received. Marj had a zest for life, a wry sense of humour, and a deep affection for family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all those who loved her.
A Celebration of Marj’s Life will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., with remembrances at 1:00 p.m., followed by a private interment in Exeter. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation to Operation Smile Canada, the Canadian Cancer Society, or a cause of your choice.

So many great memories of the Richardson family and their pillar of strength Marj. Definitely a life well lived, I am sure she will be terribly missed by her entire family as well as many others that had the pleasure of crossing her path - myself included.

Marj and her “Ladies of Lunch” group at 600 Talbot Street had many enjoyable outings throughout the years. Loved her wit and her sense of humour. Will miss you Marj! 💕
