I am very sad to learn about Jim's passing. He was always a quiet and modest person with a ready laugh, smile, and a joking comment. Someone you could trust and respect. We were colleagues at UH for many years. I will miss him. Best wishes to his family, Gord Campbell
Our sincerest condolences to all of you at this time.
We are shocked and saddened to learn of Jim’s passing. We lived next door on Brentwood Crescent for many years and he was a wonderful neighbour, always courteous, friendly and we enjoyed many conversations over the fence through all the seasons. In later years we played weekly games of golf and as in all things he was a true gentleman. Our deepest condolences to Chris, the boys, and the extended family…you are in our thoughts and prayers.
David and I wish to say how sorry we are to learn of Jim’s passing. We are thinking of you, and the family Penny
Christina and family, We were very sorry to hear of Jim's death. I knew Jim first as the very competent leader of the Biochemistry Lab at University Hospital from his first days working there. Jim was unfailingly helpful and polite and was a pleasure to deal with. Our relationship continued in recent years with his attendance at our LHSC veterans lunch group. His open and warm personality were a welcome part of our group. We will miss him. Norm
My deepest condolences to the entire Tuckerman family. Jim was a wonderful man and I will miss him and the stories he told. Many hugs to Chris always thinking of you.
My deepest condolences to Jim's family. I was so sad to hear of Jim's passing. I was very fortunate to become part of the 'UH family' in 1989 when Jim hired me. He was the greatest boss and remained a life-long, true friend to many of us. He was such a kind, wonderful soul (never forgot a birthday or half birthday). He will be greatly missed! Rest in peace dear friend.🌹
Jim was like a second father to our oldest son Jake. From the first day of Grade 1 at Sherwood Forest public school Mike and Jake were the very best of friends and their friendship continues today. Our paths with Jim and Chris always crossed at pick ups and drop offs… there were a lot of sleepovers at both homes! Jim was always so kind , patient and a funny man beneath that quiet demeanour. Our sympathies to Chris and family.
Chris, Our deepest condolences to you and your family. Jim touched all who knew him with his caring, generous and loyal way. He was and will always be my Dads best friend. They shared a very special friendship, spanning over decades and it made me smile to see them together as they were always laughing and sharing “Dad jokes” as I call them. He brought out the best in my Dad and was always there for him. Although he is no longer with us, his impact on all our lives will never fade. He was truly a remarkable man and we will miss him so much. Keep his memory close to your heart. We are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. Thank you Jim for being there for my family and all the candy necklaces ;) We love you. All our love to you Chris, Lauren, Tyler, Eden & Benson
I was so saddened to hear about the passing of Jim. I worked with Jim while in the diagnostic business and he was such a delight to work with. Such a professional, personable individual. Was always a treat to meet up with Jim and play the odd game of golf. My sincere condolences to the family, I’m sure Jim will be missed terribly. Sincere Regards Bob
