Ronald ‘Ron’ C. Dawson

I first knew Ron way back when Murphy Bus Lines in Arva, renovated our first office, my Dad, Tom Murphy, purchased all the furniture from Ron, early 70's. Over the years was acquainted with Ron as a mover and shaker in the PC Party! His Uncle, Gordon Dawson, drove bus for years and I last saw Ron at Gordon and Mildred's Anniversary! When we moved to the Bruce Peninsula we had some chats and I always delivered election signs to his place in Barrow Bay! Deepest sympathy to Ron's Family and Friends, he will be dearly missed by all!

My sincere condolences to the Dawson family. Ron was a very kind man with so many wonderful stories to share. He was so well respected by so many. Everywhere you went in London, no matter what the event or what business they were in, they knew Ron. It was always the same message. Ron was kind and generous with his time. Ron was always a delight to work with. His professionalism and dedication to his customers was always foremost on his mind. We shared and often had good chats about our mutual love of The Bruce. Thanks Ron for being such a great custodian of the Forest City. You made your mark and we are very proud of all that you did for your community. Ron was a great person to work with. He was highly respected in the business community, always very professional, always dedicated to do the very best for his customers. Ron was a person you wanted to spend time with, regardless of what generation you were from. His sunny disposition, humour and magnanimous presence left you feeling wonderful when you spent time with him. He left a indelible impression on those who were lucky to know him. My life has been enriched. Our collective responsibility is to be more like Ron and lift up our communities. Thank you Ron; you are missed already. We are heartened that you and June have been reunited and are hand in hand again!

I had the great pleasure of knowing Ron and June both had a great sense of humour. Ron i will miss cutting you Brad Pitt hair cut rest in peace give June a big hug from me.

To Ron's Family, My heart goes out to you. I can only imagine how much you'll miss his presence. I was blessed to come to know him through London Community Foundation. He welcomed me generously to join his table at many a Canadian Club lunch. He modelled how to be a genuinely caring, interested, involved and giving community member. He was affable and fun to be around. He lived what he believed. May you find comfort in the knowledge that he left his imprint on all who knew him. He will be so missed.

Craig, Dave, Laurie and families we were sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing, such a gentile gentleman is how we will remember him. Sending all, our condolences.

My condolences for your families loss. Ron was an amazing person with a positivity that shined through everywhere he went. Ron was a great mentor to me and my business and he made a difference. He was a leader with grace. He was a person that gave you confidence to take on anything. Ron will be missed by so many in our London community. It is so sad to lose another beloved member of our BB family. Ron was always such a hoot entertaining us with stories and memories, and he had a lot! Watching him this summer maneuver his way down the south road in his golf cart looking over his beloved terrain really moved me knowing how ill he was. Our last visits with him were treasured and happy hours on the deck won’t be the same. As with the rest of the ole’timers he will always live on in our hearts and memories. I am saddened to learn of the passing of Ron Dawson. I first met Ron through our mutual friend Tom Lawson. It was my privledge to know Ron and to work with him on several initiatives in support of our serving military personnel and Veterans. My sincere condolences to the Dawson family.

Dear Craig, Dave, Laurie and families: Please accept my deepest sympathies on the passing of your beloved father. Being a long-time employee of The London Chamber of Commerce for over 30 years, I got to know him very well, on many different levels, both in a business sense as well as a social one since we often attended the same events and fund raisers. What can I say? He was one-of-a-kind! Always a gentleman, full of great stories, [although sometimes a bit long in the middle of a meeting], LOL. He had a wealth of knowledge & information to share and even once we both retired, we shared stories and news with each other on Facebook. I feel honoured and privileged to have known him and worked with him over all those years. I think we can safely agree that your wonderful Mother, whom I also got to know over the years, as well as Mel Deacon and Jack & Ruthe Mann will be happy to "see him" again. Reconnecting with Ron through JA and the London & District Business Hall of Fame was a true blessing for me. It was always wonderful to catch up with he and June at that annual event. He was a thoughtful mentor to so many, a fabulous story teller, and an all-round wonderful man. London is a better place because of his generosity to so many important causes. R.I.P., Ronnie. You will be missed.

Hello Dawson Family Your father stood tall in our London community and we all benefited from his keen business acumen and generous caring for those he touched. I am glad to hear that he continued to enjoy that spirited soul to the very end and has left a family filled with joyous memories. We all pass through this life and it is what we leave behind that is important. Many smiles being one of those commodities which Ron provided and that we need much more of in this current world. Ron was always willing to help those of us who had the privilege of sitting with him at the London, Chamber of Commerce board room table or at the Board of Governors dinner. So many stories, so many laughs. Thank you for caring. Thank you for sharing. You will always be in our memories.

When I think of Ron Dawson I think of one of the warmest Chamber of Commerce Members. During my days working at the Chamber I always was greeted by Ron with a warm embrace and a how’s my girl. I was lucky to run the Meeting Centre and to make Ron his morning coffee that had to have sugar twin. He would share so many stories with me prior to his Government Affairs meetings. He gave so much to everyone he encountered and he will truly be missed.
