Donald H. Paul

February 15, 1940 - September 24, 2023

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donald H. Paul in his home, surrounded by love on Sunday, September 24, 2023. Born in London, Ontario to the late Harvey E. Paul and Mildred E. Paul (née Mills) on February 15, 1940.

Don is survived by his devoted wife Pixie Sabados; cherished sons Christopher (Diogenes) Paul and Tim (Lani) Paul; beloved grandchildren Ben and Michael Paul; caring brother-in-law to Val Fisher; supportive uncle to Tara (Andrew) Chapman, Shannon (Jordan) Bornholdt; and very special great-uncle to baby Charlie (pictured with him). Predeceased by sisters Marlene, Betty, and brother John.

Don can be described as the most kind, genuine, and generous person you could ever meet. He enjoyed playing sports throughout his life, most notably golf with his friends. Don’s career was spent in the transportation industry, as a devoted employee of GM – Nova Bus, and Volvo as District Service Manager.

At his request, there will be no funeral. A private service will be held at the Dungannon Cemetery. He will be forever missed and loved.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Donald are asked to consider JDRF Canada: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in support of his grandchildren.

I’m so sorry and heartbroken to hear the news of Don’s passing. He was the true meaning of a gentleman and so kind. I have been his hairdresser for over 30 years. He will be greatly missed. Rest in sweetest peace Don.

Don, a loyal, kind and generous Uncle. I’m so grateful to have had you in my life for over 26 years. The memories we have together are plentiful - from Niagara Falls trips, to cottaging in Grand Bend, to memorizing my multiplication table, to calling you Donald Duck and grabbing at your moustache as an infant just as Charlie did when meeting you this last year. Your generosity will never be forgotten. Thank you for being such a pivotal role in my ability to attend university, buy my first car and open my daughter’s RESP. Your love for us is so real, your legacy will carry on - never forgotten. All my love, your bonus daughter ❤️

Saddened loss of my brother-in-law Don, he was a very kind, caring, selfless man and was always generous with his time to help you if needed. I am thankful he was in mine, both my daughters' and granddaughter's lives. He will be truly missed and I will cherish all the wonderful memories I have of him. Love you ❤️

Unbelievably saddened by the lose of my wonderful Uncle Don. All of my memories with him are positive and bring a smile to my face. He was so generous, kind-hearted and helpful. I’m so happy I was able to spent time together earlier this month. I will miss you endlessly. Love you forever ❤️

Pixie, I was saddened to hear of Don’s passing. Tom and I were happy to have known Don and to count him among our friends. He was a genuine person and a great neighbour. I send you my deepest condolences…
