Noreen Maude Davis
September 12, 2023
At University Hospital, London, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, in her 82nd year. Daughter of the late Arthur Lang and the late Maude (née Evely) Lang. Predeceased by her loving husband, Kenneth Walter Davis (2018), and older brother Mel Lang (Dianne). Noreen will be greatly missed by her children Carol Luther (Rick), Lynn Davis, and Rick Davis (Joanne); her grandchildren Jay Luther (Karly O’Krafka), Jennifer Luther (Mike Napier), Aden Luther, Jordan Campbell (Emily), Nicole Campbell (Ryan Boulet), Ashley Wise (Jack) and Braden Davis; her great-granddaughter Josiane Georgette Leclerc; sister Joan Burrell (Ron Trottier); brothers Wayne Lang (Carole) and Terry Lang; as well as her many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Noreen’s smile would light up a room. Her warm heart ensured that she never met a stranger. She was a devoted wife and mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a long-time employee of Woolco (later Walmart) and Past President of the Byron Opti-Mrs. Noreen was generous with her time, always game for a road trip, an afternoon at the Grand, an Amabile concert, or a meal shared with family and friends. Considered the ‘Queen of Byron Blvd’, she greeted neighbours and passers-by from her porch with a wave and a kind word. Quite simply, the world was a better place with her in it.
Sincere thanks to the entire staff on the 4th and 10th floors of University Hospital for their exceptional care.
Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m., and continuing on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Grand Theatre, The Amabile Choirs of London, Canada, or a charity of your choice.
