Rhoda Dorothy Webb (née Warring)

Rhoda passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at the age of 99, to join her husband, Reginald Arthur Webb, who died March 29, 2021. They had celebrated 70 years of marriage together. She was born in Bepton, Great Britain on March 8, 1924, and immigrated to Canada in her early 20s with her parents and sister. Loving mother of Janet Makra (Robert), Tony Webb (Dixie), and Philip Webb (Andrea). Grandmother to five grandsons, and five great-grandchildren. Having lived in various cities within Canada, they returned to London where she was a real estate agent; five years as an agent and 15 years as a broker. Upon retirement, Reg and Rhoda settled in Port Stanley for their final years. Rhoda enjoyed keeping an immaculate house, gardening, pampering her dogs, keeping up on local and world events, and making donations to worthy causes. Her indomitable spirit will never be forgotten by all who knew her. She would always tell the truth, even when it wasn’t comfortable to do so, which made her the very best mother. You always knew where you stood with her. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital for their tireless dedication to her needs. Cremation has taken place. Interment at Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa, where a small service will be held.
