I first met Earl when my brother Brad played hockey in Espanola. But my fondest memory is Christmas shopping in New Sudbury for many years & Earl jingling the bells for the Salvation Army. You were treated with a beautiful grin… then “how are your parents?” My condolences to you all… may Earl find my Dad Ron in heaven’s arena & keep jingling those bells

To Elsie and the family go our deepest condolences in the loss of such a truly Good Man. Earl was always ready with a smile and a pleasant word whenever we met; he was devoted to caring for Elsie and made sure that she was able to attend her Nursing Reunion gatherings; all of her classmates appreciated his love and dedication. We lost touch when Earl and Elsie moved "South" but they remained on our minds and in our hearts since they left the north. Wishing peace and comfort to everyone who loved Earl. Sincerely John & Elaine

Earl was the most wonderful person. Always smiling and ,happy, he treated people with such kindness and humour. We had many deep chats and he called me "San" like my father used to😊 He would go out in the rain and be soaking wet and say can I have a hug and I always gave him one to his great delight and laughter! I will miss him deeply he was a gift to all of us.❤️

Condolences to Elsie and family, to Earl's family. Elsie and Anne go back a long time since they trained together as nurses. We enjoyed our conversations with Earl. He was a very pleasant person.

I remember when I was young, riding on a snowmobile with uncle Earl while visiting in Nairn Centre. That was my first snowmobile experience, and I have never forgotten it as fun time. A few years later, listening to him playing his guitar at the campfire, everyone singing along, I thought he was awesome and inspiring. He always had a smile and a laugh that was sincere and made you feel welcome. Uncle Earl will be greatly missed.
