With a heavy heart, the family announces the passing of the most wonderful man they have ever met. Mike fought for almost 23 years, and passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at age 76. Beloved husband, best friend, and soulmate of Angela (née Petrozzi). Survived by his children Mike (Cindy), Shawn (Karen), Cooper, Clarke, and Jennifer. Cherished grandfather of Mitchell, Morgan, and Carson. Dear step-brother of Maureen (Paul) Bach. Nephew of Norm and Joann Harris and Wayne and Linda Lumley. Loved brother-in-law of Don (Sheila) Petrozzi, Beverly (Glenn) Zimmerman, George (Marlene) Petrozzi, the late Jean Vaillancourt, Mario (Linda) Petrozzi, Andrea Parish, Michael (Beverley) Petrozzi, James (Lynda) Petrozzi, Wayne (Donna) Petrozzi, and Paul (Aileen) Petrozzi. Mike will be missed by his good friends Mike Elliott “Woody”, Bev T., Bill W., as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Michael was a long-time employee of the City of London, retiring after 50 years of dedicated service.
Uncle Wayne, you were not just an uncle, you were his best friend – ODAAT. Thank-you to the doctors, nurses, and staff at Victoria Hospital, particularly those in the Emergency Department; to the staff and volunteers at McCormick Home – you were Mike’s home away from home; to all the nursing staff, PSW’s, O/T, P/T, and respite team that were always there for both Mike and Angela; and many thanks to Rob. Special thanks to our Angel from God, José, who cared for Mike for almost 20 years – your care, love and compassion is still greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 4, 2023 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at 11:00, with visitation the hour prior. Cremation to follow. Donations in memory of Michael may be made to McCormick Dementia Services or Street Help Windsor.

We are so sorry for your loss aunt Ang :( Our condolences to you and the entire family. Mike will be very much missed. It was great to have an opportunity to visit with you and Uncle Mike in December 2021 and we are saddened to know that would be the last time we'd see him but he was in good spirits and is remembered fondly. love Andrew & Shiah
