Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Saturday, June 3, 2023, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret (2016). Loving father of Vince (Monica) and David (Cynthia). Cherished grandfather of Stephanie (Daniel) and Anthony, and great-grandpa of Sylvester. Dear brother of Ron Johns. Predeceased by his sister Madeline and his brother Joe Buck.
Interment at Medway Cemetery, Ilderton, on Thursday, June 8, 2023, at 11:30 a.m.

Dear Vince, David and families, We Elstons loved when Norm and Marg would pop by. They ALWAYS brought laughter. What a wonderful way to be remembered! May all sorts of happy memories surround you and bring smiles your way as you honour your dear dad.

Vince, Dave and families, We were very sorry to hear about your Dad/Grandpa. The Roberts family has always been grateful to have had the John’s family as neighbours and friends. The Elston family also had the good Brussels connection with your family. When we looked at the pictures you posted, we could still see the familiar mischievous twinkle in your Dad’s eyes! I am going to miss our hang outs where I forced you to garden, learn how to hoop knit, colour, go for walks etc. I am going to miss your one-liners and your stories. I am going to miss your laugh. I am going to miss how you sat cross legged in your chair. I am going to miss your hugs and you waving from your window. I am going to miss you so much, Grandpa.
