Peacefully and surrounded by her family on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at Middlesex Terrace, in her 92nd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Joe. Treasured mother of Joe (Pam) Willems, Cathy (Don) Whitcroft, Lois (Jeff) Bow, and Diane (Jim) Kinsman. Proud Opoe of Mathew and Nathan Willems, Michelle King, Jennifer Lantz, Richard Hall, Laura Bow, Sarah Falkin, Carrie Kinsman, as well as to many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Survived by siblings Cor Vlasman, Teresa Tyssen, and Mary Vlasman, and by sister-in-law Alida Vlasman. Predeceased by brothers Martin, Theo, Tony, Harry, John and Joe. Memorial visitation will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lida are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Lida Willems was a darling, gentle lady and all in Different Strokes art class loved her; she was always smiling and so caring. Covid curtailed the art classes at Longworth and I was hoping to see her again as we are going to start the art classes again. This is some of her art. God be with you Lida. Love you. Dorothy

Tante Lisa was always so thoughtful, warm & funny! Always smiling. Full of fun. Good memories of her & Uncle Joe. Rest In Peace Tante Lida. Sending hugs to the family.
My sincere sympathy to Lida's family. I will always remember the good times Lida and I had as golf buddies. Her favourite club being her "JOHN DALY" brought many days of hysterical laughter to brighten our day. I will always cherish out time together. I'm so sorry for your loss.
