Sharon Lee Scribner

April 5, 2023

Passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the age of 81. Loving wife of late Harold Scribner. Loving mother of Shelley (Tony), Vicki (Mike), Lisa (Albert); and loving step-mother to Sherri (Steve) and Scott (Lisa). Cherished and adored Nanny of Joel (Andrea), Natalee (Jp), Nathan (Christina), Tyler, Renee (Matt), Blair, Jaime (Dakota), Austin, Carlee (Scott), Miolyka and Alyssa. Caring great-grandma of Claire, Evelyn, Genevieve, Paislee, Jonah, Hannah and Oliver. Beloved sister of Bob (Janet), brother-in-law Colin, and sister-in-law Marie. Predeceased by her parents Vera and George Joseph Vowel, brother Gary Vowel, and sister Betty Lou Bain. Special friend to Eleanore Edmunds, Millie Livingstone and Carole Trudell. Sharon will also be missed by her loving nieces and nephews, friends and fellow Leafs fans.

Sharon was truly full of life, bringing joy to others with her laughter, smile and caring demeanor. She lived simply and never wanted to miss a moment with family and friends. Nan enjoyed sunny days and bonfires on Ipperwash Beach, a game of cards and discussing the Maple Leafs during and after every game. Above all else she was a very proud mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She devoted so much time and energy to her loving family and will be forever missed.

A private Celebration of Life will follow.

The entire Edmunds family is so deeply saddened to hear of Sharon’s passing. Our love goes out to Shelley, Vicki & Lisa and all of Sharon’s extended family. Many moons & shared memories have passed since Sharon & Eleanore met at Kellogg’s over 60 years ago. Sharon taught us all the beauty of laughter and that no story or joke is complete without a hearty “haha” as an ending, the meaning of close friendship highlighted by countless vacation miles, neighbourly cottaging and dream of a lifetime experiences and lastly & most significantly, the importance of family at all times and all circumstances. Goodbye our dear friend. You’ll be greatly greatly missed.
