Louise Pellarin
March 5, 2023
It is with much sadness that the family of Louise Pellarin announces that she passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023 with family around her at the McCormick Home in London, Ontario in her 93rd year. She was predeceased by her husband John (February 2006) and her son Robert (2020). She is survived by her sons Maurice (Mary), Richard (Kathy), and daughter-in-law Katherine Fraser. Loved Nonna of Matthew, Chris and Lina; Rob and Lindsay; Maggie and Eric; and Kyle and Brittany. Adored Bisnonna of Jacob, Layla, Sadie and Leah.
John and Louise made the long trip from Sesto Al Reghena, Italy to Sault Ste Marie in 1950 to make a better life for their family after the war. They had many relatives in the Sault and spent 58 years in their home on Irwin Avenue where they had many wonderful memories and wonderful neighbours. Louise will join John at the family mausoleum in the Sault. Louise had a life well lived, and she was loved by many.
The family would like to thank the staff on Willow Ridge at the McCormick Home for their kindness and wonderful care of Louise for the six months she was there. Our sincerest thanks to Louise’s relatives and friends in the Sault who enabled her to stay in her home as long as she did. Thank you Darlene Pellarin, Mauricette Sist, Maria Barbon, Dolores Bumbacco and Lucio Chiarot.
Rest in peace Mom.
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations to The Sault Ste Marie Hospital would be appreciated by the family.

Sincere condolences to Maurice (Mary), Richard (Kathy), daughter-in-law Katherine and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Your mom, grandmother and aunt was a very special lady who will be sadly missed. Wishing that the pain and sorrow you are feeling now will soon be replaced by the wonderful memories you hold close to your heart. Rest in peace Zia Luigina.
It was a pleasure spending time with your mom at “coffee club” at the Bumbacco’s house. Keeping everyone in our thoughts and prayers during this time.
Sending you all our sincere condolences on the loss of Aunt Luigina. We fondly remember her visits with Uncle Johnny to our home with chocolate bars in hand for all of us. Wishing you peace and comfort during this difficult time. Jacqueline, Lita, Bruno, Marlene, Myra and Families.
On behalf of the Gorizzan family, I want to extend our sincere condolences to Maurice & Mary, Richard & Cathy, and daughter-in-law Katherine. We have fond memories of Zia on our many travels to the Sault over the years. Upon visiting, we were always greeted with a smile, and welcomed with a homemade meal, more often than not topped off by an incredible pie. We will also remember her love of cards, she would never refuse a game! We will miss you Zia, rest in peace.
Sending my deepest condolences to the Pellarin family. Your mother was a grand lady and I loved our visits when I went to the Sault. I always made a point of seeing her when visiting my in-laws Dolores and Angelo Bumbacco. She always told some great stories. When I was in the Sault in the fall, it didn't seem the same without Louise living next door. Your father & mother always gave $5.00 to my son Thomas when he was little and visiting his grandparents next door. One day when we arrived in the winter, he saw your mother's driveway was full of snow so he got out of the van and started to shovel her driveway and your mom was trying to pay him and he told her no that she gave him enough money when he was little. Thinking of you all at this time. Sincerely, Denise, Dennis and Thomas Bumbacco

Maurice, Richard and families. Please accept our sincerest condolences on the loss of your mother. I have so many fond memories of her and your dad (and the two of you) at your house. Robert and I were such good friends growing up. She will be remembered fondly and, in particular, when I drive by the house on Irwin when I'm back in the Sault. May she rest in peace. Eros and Marsha
