Norma was a special person more ways than one. She was warm, generous, open hearted and very lively and funny. She was a dear friend for over 50 years. She invited our family into hers and I have fond memories of the many Christmas celebrations we spent at the Bryce family home in Montreal. Norma had a special small gift on the table for everybody, different each year and I still have some of them 50 years later and put them out every Christmas; it gives me the feeling that Norma is with us. I will miss her warmth and her love of life very much.
My condolences on Norma’s passing. I met Norma through the Newcomers Club. Convened the golf with Norma and shared lots of laughter. She was a beautiful person inside and out and always a smile on her face. She will be missed.
Norma was a very SPECIAL person & FRIEND We go back to high school days at Strathcona in Montreal !!! We stayed in touch all those years , & met as often as we could . Laterly , we would meet at Stratford for a show & to spend time together ., & talk !! We always laughed as much as we talked !!! I really enjoyed the resume that the boys set up . She deserved all the special things they remarked on ; things for which I , too , loved her . She was a very special friend !!! Lucky me .!!!
My Dearest Miss Norma, I will always cherish the memories we shared together. All of the Christmas plays, get-togethers, walks with the dogs, and our talks about life are memories that I will hold dearest in my heart. Whether it was my birthday or halloween (those special goodie bags you made) you always took the time to make me feel special. You have taught me to never accept less than I deserve from anyone and for that I will forever be grateful. May you rest easy and know that you are forever in my heart.
Sending you all heartfelt condolences on the loss of Norma. I got to know Norma in the Forest City Singers. She was just a remarkable, spunky and interesting woman. We shared many conversations about travel. She was a bright light who will be remembered.
With sadness we learned of the recent passing of your dear mother, grandmother and friend and wish to offer our sincere condolences. We knew Norma as a longtime, active member of the Probus Club of South London, sharing fellowship at meetings, dinners and excursions over many years. We miss her warmth and lively sense of humour though she will live on in our memories.
She was one of a kind, a rare gem! Welcomed us into her life and heart! May she rest peacefully
Norma was a ray of sunshine who Blessed our lives. We had the pleasure of starting our connection with Norma as neighbours which quickly grew into a very special friendship that lasted for over 14 years. Norma was an extension of our family. With her beautiful smile and bright blue eyes, she would regale us with stories of her many adventures around the world. Always speaking glowingly about her sons, their wives, and her grandchildren, who meant the world to her. Never a shrinking violet, her candor, and warmth filled our hearts and our home. We feel so blessed that she chose to spend many special times with us. It was always an honour to be in her company. We'll miss her forever and know that she is always with us in our hearts. Rest in Peace Miss Norma.
To say that Norma was “a force to be reckoned with” would be putting it mildly! We bonded about 25 years ago mainly through our love of dogs, but so many other wonderful qualities come to mind; such as her entertaining skills, her generosity, her love of travel, parties, and ability to not let anyone know how old she was! On crossing the border, with a group of friends, she would insist on passing her own passport to the official so that none of us would see her birthdate. She was a truly unique individual and I am grateful for having her in my life. I was lucky and I will never forget her.♥️
You will be missed by everyone who ever met you! Norma was an exceptional person.
Miss Norma taught me so much in the years that I had the pleasure of being her neighbour. She taught me how to cure my hiccups, and to get over my fear of dogs; but on a more serious note, she taught me so much more than that. She taught me how to be a lady, how to walk through life with grace. Miss Norma taught me how to love not just those around me but to love and live life to the fullest, to cherish every opportunity and to count my blessings. I can say for certain it was a blessing to know Miss Norma, and I will miss her greatly.
I will miss my dear friend! Norma was always kind and generous, I will always treasure the memories of our time together.
I knew Norma through London Newcomers Alumnae Club in golfing, birding and daytripping. Always a delight to be in her company. Rest in Peace Lovely Lady!
I loved meeting this classy lady at Wayne and Aleesha's wedding. She made us feel like we were part of the family. My condolences.
