Doris Lenore Smith (née Stone)

Passed away at McGarrell Place, London, on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Robert R. Smith (2013) and the late Colin Brewster (1976). Loving mother of Robert Brewster (Deborah), Colleen Brewster, and stepdaughter Andrea. Adored grandmother of Alexandra Keefe (Sam), Phillip Brewster and Victoria Brewster. Dear great-grandmother of Romina.  Predeceased by sister Beatrice Lowe and brothers Bill, Earl and Doug.

Doris was born in Stratford, Ontario on February 13, 1923. She spent most of her adult life in Woodstock where she married Colin Brewster and raised her family. She had a successful career in retail sales. Doris was also very involved in the IODE and many other charitable organizations. Doris loved to curl, golf, garden, and travel. In their retirement years, Doris and Bob were able to pack up and go on many adventures around the world.

She was an amazing cook and hostess who loved getting together with her large circle of friends. Family was always first and foremost, and she cherished hosting those special family occasions and holiday get-togethers.

We wish to thank Dr. Karen Lo and the staff the and caregivers at McGarrell Place for all the attention, care and kindness they gave to Doris. Her family and friends will miss her dearly.

Cremation has taken place. A private memorial will take place at a later date.
