Lloyd, it was a pleasure to know and to converse with you. I was quite shocked and saddened to hear of your passing, and I know the world will be emptier without you. You were always so happy to stop and talk at length about so many things, and I'll miss your honest and open thoughts on many things. You were always such a great person and one that I think everyone liked and respected. You will be missed.

A Letter to Llyod, They say you shouldn't put everything off till tomorrow because tomorrow never comes, wise words that we don't live by enough. I want to thank you for being you and always open to and ready for a good parler. We became friends because you were one of the first people to say Hi to me and give me a genuine smile when I moved into the condo. You are also one of the few people I miss since I moved out, and now even more. Anytime we passed each other in the gym, lobby, or outside as saw you leaving church you always had time to chat and ask how I was doing. I learned during our AGM meetings you were not just a happy man but a man who spoke his mind, and everything you said came from a place of honesty and integrity. I never will forget the 100% support you gave me when I joined our board, and how you called people out who tried to hold me back from even being part of the board so I could volunteer my time and knowledge. I am deeply sadden to hear you are not with us and my daughters will never get to meet you like we planned. I will tell them stories of the time I lived in that condo, my first home and my good friend Lloyd will be part of those stories. Lloyd from Guyana who helped and was a friend to Robert from Ghana, they met and became friends in the other London (London Ontario not London England).

I hadn’t seen Boogie in over 40 years and we finally met up at a funeral of another cousin last year. I was so happy to see Boogie again and so was he to see me — cousin to cousin. He was so genuinely happy, lively, funny, and we had such a great time kidding around. It was like the years apart hadn’t changed him. We reconnected instantly. We had made plans to meet up again for dinner. He never showed any signs of being sick, all he showed was a strong, courageous and a happy face. I’m still in a state of shock at his sudden passing but I will take comfort knowing that he’ll be with Mom whom he loved and whom she loved dearly. My deepest condolences to the family. Rest In Peace my cousin until…

You are missed and there are no words to describe the loss that is you, a most beloved uncle. As words fail me, I leave a poem I wrote, and know we shall all meet again. In Spirit. I have left this earth, But, I am still about, I kiss your cheek at night When your light is out. I am the wind That blows in your hair, I am spirit now, I am near. I sit on your shoulder, I see the good that you do, My body is gone, Still, my love is with you. When times are tough, I hold your hand, You are never alone, Together we stand. If you are in trouble, I shall help you out I am your instinct When you doubt. I am the angel Assigned to you, You will never be alone, For I am next to you. X

My dear baby brother. Growing up in Guyana we had many good times and shared our adventures as youths. You were always a good friend to me wise beyond your years and I will always cherish our time together. You were not materialistic and always put people first. Living your life as a good example to all. Reunited with our dear mother and older brother. You are at peace now.

Our heartfelt condolences to Crista, Bianca and all my family on the loss of our beloved Lloyd known as Boogie. Such a pleasant man. I remember growing up in Guyana and chatting with Boogie as a teenager. Recently we chatted, texted and laughed. We talked about Jesus and how good it is to know the Lord. Now my dear cous is with Jesus singing with the angels in Heaven, What a happy time he is having in Heaven. Love you always Cous Barbara and James FLorida USA
