Peacefully passed away on Monday, January 2, 2023 with family by her side, at Victoria Hospital, London in her 75th year. Beloved wife of the late Bob Howard. Loving mother of Rob, Phil and Chris. Adored grandmother of Alex and Jonathan. Cherished sister of John, Stevie, Billy, Tony and Ian.
A mother with great love for all who, no matter what, had a smile on her face and joy in her heart. She was brave, strong, loving, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a poet, a politician and many other roles that were always given 100% of her love and compassion.
A funeral service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Friday, January 13, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. A livestream of the service will be available for those that are unable to attend in person. To register for the livestream, please click here:

Grandma, No matter the distance between us I loved you very much. I have many memories that I will cherish and hold close to my heart. Say Hi to Grandpa and uncle Phil for me. Until we meet again Love you
I only just met Betty last summer during a walk while visiting my son and his family. They live on Rossmore Court. We saw her on her scooter with a Scottish flag. I was born in Scotland so I struck up a conversation with her. When I got home to Sault Ste. Marie we became friends on Facebook. I always enjoyed her posts. My Daughter In Law did also. While in London this past week I was shocked when my Daughter-in-law looked at her phone and said that Betty had passed away. Many condolences to Betty's family. We will miss her facebook posts and I am saddened that I will not get the chance to know her better. She seemed like a very lovely person.
We are very for you loss. May Betty rest in peace
