Gary Randall Charette

January 2, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce that Gary passed away peacefully, with family by his side, on Monday, January 2, 2023 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Ann for 50 years. Loving father of Jayson (Julie) and Cindy. Proud “Papa” to Amber, Aaron, Nolan, Taylor and Payton. Dear great-grandfather to Gemma. Brother to Rod (Debbie) and brother-in-law to Jackie. Special nephew to Ann Sigall. He will be forever remembered by his many extended family and friends including Paul, Teresa, Bill, Gary and Kathy. Predeceased by his parents Ed and Stella Charette, and his in-laws Bill and Olive Drouillard.

Gary began his career as a mold maker and later became part owner of Mega Mold International until 2011. Gary spent 43 years relaxing at Wildwood By The River in Bayfield and retired there in 2017. Playing guitar was Gary’s lifelong passion. He was a Mr. fix-it, enjoyed tennis, golf, hockey, boating and cheering on his grandchildren. Special thank you to the staff at Chartwell London Long Term Care Residence for their dedicated passionate care during Gary’s stay. Per Gary’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Special thank you to Westview Funeral Chapel in London. Gary’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Families First, 3260 Dougall Avenue, Windsor. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Gary are asked to consider the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
