I must admit when Dalen informed me that Andy had passed it was not only shocking, however a huge surprise as I thought he was on the mend. Words are never enough to know how one is thought of by their peers when something like this happens, Andy I believe knew how much we thought of him and how much he was liked and respected. People often say "They are in a better place", I don't know how true that is as I believe they are better off healthy and here with their families. I could be wrong and maybe Andy is in a better place that we don't understand at this point in our lives. Andy was a good family man and a good teammate, he will be sorely missed by all of us. Godspeed Andy, maybe we shall see each other again one day. 🙏

I'm very sorry to hear of Andy's passing. Many fond memories playing softball with Monk with the Golden Gloves and great times after the games, he was always someone who had great cheer on his face, just had a presence to him. Also had a chance over the past couple of years to touch base with him, it was great seeing again after so many years. Sincere condolences to Judy and the family. Even though 44 years have gone by, I look back to grade 11 and grade 12 at Saunders with Andy and others, like it was yesterday. He was a good basketball player and loved his sports. Good memories. My sincere condolences. Ellen Paulger Bradshaw, home room 3V 1974 Saunders. SS

Andy. Growing up with you in Byron was filled with lasting memories. We played basketball and baseball during our summer school holidays at Southwood School. We hung around at Baseline variety doing innocent teenage kid stuff. My most vivid memories were your dance displays with a basketball in hand behind the Harlem Globetrottrer's theme song "Sweet Georgia Brown" and being there when playing Saunders Senior football where you received a pass and tip-toed into the end zone at South Secondary for your first touchdown. You had a presence and a place in my life. Thanks for those memories pal. I will miss you. Gary

I will always remember talking sports, music and just having fun conversations with him. I will always have memories of watching him and my dad at basketball on Saturdays. Talking about his trips to see the cubs and the new years I babysat the girls and him taking me out for breakfast after. Mock was a great people person. Uncle Andy will be missed. My family thoughts are with Aunt Judy, Kate & Ali and their families.

After going over Andy’s projects at work, we always had time to talk about music especially Woodstock! Once, Andy sent an email to me basically telling me to take it easy – this coming from the man who always seemed to be working…“do you ever stop working have a glass of vino man throw on some Joni Mitchell!!!” Excellent advice! For the days I’ll be missing Andy, I’ll be listening to Joni, or maybe one or a dozen Woodstock tunes. I know the days ahead will be challenging for Andy’s treasured family and the silence will be unbearable at times. I hope Andy’s infinite positivity will help inspire his family and friends through the saddest of days ahead.
