We send Uncle Godfrey's loved ones our heartfelt condolences. As my cousins know well, Uncle Godfrey has a special place in my heart, he being my favourite uncle. After all, not every girl growing up in the 60s and 70s had an artist-philosopher uncle who assumes that children have opinions on what is beautiful or on the meaning of life, and then cares to ask them about them! We all loved his hearty laugh, bright smile, and joie de vivre that made everyone smile. I love the photo chosen for his obituary. It captures the way his eyes light up when he smiles. This Saturday, I will be with you in spirit as you/we join together to celebrate Godfrey Verberg's beautiful life. With warm regards, Norine and family
