Marion Elizabeth ‘Bette’ Stout (née Marr)

Peacefully at home with family by her side, on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the age of 92. Loving mother of Sharon Lee Stratford (Allan), Heather Lynn McBeth and Sandra Elizabeth Hogarth (Craig). Adored grandmother of Eric (Andrea), Alysha and Bryanna. Dear great-grandmother to Archer. Beloved by sister-in-law Norah Marr, and nephews Bill (Deborah), Glenn (Nathalie), Geoff and Peter. Predeceased by her parents Bill and Dorothy Marr, brother Bill Marr, and niece Nancy Marr.

Bette had a love for piano and graduated from the Toronto Royal Conservatory of Music. She loved to be home with family and children until she discovered real estate in 1971. She sold in London, Ontario for 30 years. In her retirement, she returned to her childhood hometown of Kenora, Ontario, and spent time with family and friends on the lake. Winters were spent in Belleair Bluffs, Florida, escaping the cold just like her mother. Bette had a love for people. She was an endless entertainer and loved to have family and friends under her roof.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life for Bette will be held in early summer of 2023 in Kenora, Ontario.

So many memories over the years as our next door neighbor growing up to reconnecting again a number of years ago at Sandy's in West Van. Wonderful woman, sure to be missed but hold the memories tight, always with you! Sincere condolences!
