Peacefully, at LHSC – Victoria Hospital, on Friday, October 21, 2022, Hugh Thomas of Lambeth, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife Jeanette Karolyn (Davis) (2006). Predeceased by his loving daughter Janice Dengis (Michael) (2020) formerly of Wisconsin and Florida. Beloved partner and very best friend of Jacqueline Sutton. Loving father of Jeffrey and his wife Denise of Mount Brydges, Christine Thomas of Stratford, Marc and his wife Lorri of Lambeth. Predeceased by his loving granddaughter Lauren (2008). Cherished grandfather of Leigh, Cydney, Wayne, Matthew, Luke, Ella, Mitchell, Jordan, Elizabeth and Louisa. Proud great-grandfather of Braylin, Lyla, Graham, Elissa, Camden and Tessa. Hugh was the youngest son of Francis Thomas and Reba (Courtis) and is predeceased by his siblings Shirley Buck (Wilfred), Donald Thomas (Marion), Phyllis Smale (Gordon), Ruth McIntyre, and Wanda Wright (Robert). Dear brother-in-law of Patrica Walker and Carolyn Davis-Lupasko. Survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. Interment of ashes will be held at a private family ceremony at Scottsville Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Hugh are asked to consider Ride for Dad (Prostate Cancer Fight Foundation), St. Joseph’s Hospice Health Care Foundation – Stroke/Neurological Rehabilitation Program, or a charity of your choice.

Hugh was my Mom’s (Lorna’s) cousin (via our great aunt Reba), and one of my first employers at the market back in the 80’s. My sincere condolences to his family.
