Vitalina ‘Vita’ Henriques
October 7, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother Vitalina “Vita” Henriques on Friday, October 7, 2022, at the age of 77. Cherished mother of Fernanda of London, Susan of Milton and loving grandmother (Vó) of Isabella and Jenna. She will live forever in our hearts and be deeply missed by all of us, including her family and friends in Portugal, France and Brazil. Vitalina was a woman with a heart of gold. She was the best mom and Vó anyone could ever ask for. She loved to cook, garden, keep the Portuguese culture alive in the home and had a passion for housekeeping. We are forever grateful for her kind heart, gentle nature and commitment to her family. Vitalina’s family wishes to express their thanks to family and friends for all of their love and support. Thank you to the staff at LHSC Motor Neuron Diseases (ALS) Clinic – University Hospital and Extendicare Long Term Care. Visitation will be held at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, October 10, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, London on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Private entombment to follow at St. Peter’s Mausoleum. I worked with Vita for 4 years. The last 1.5 I really got to know her and I adored her. I played her favorite songs before we started work and after while waiting to clock out. We sang and danced in our chairs. I've missed her. I'm so sorry for your loss.
My grandma and best friend<3 I'm glad you've found peace and happiness. I love you forever and always.
Fernanda, I am so sorry to hear this sad news. Your Mom was a wonderful woman. She was always so kind and sweet when I was over. My deepest sympathy and love to you and your girls, your sister and her family. You are all in my prayers. Love, Carol
