Dear Lois, Kevin and Barry....we were so sad to hear of Brian's passing. We just found out today which is June 11. Our hearts are with you. Brian was a really good guy. We so appreciated him during the time our kids were learning piano. He had a tremendous sense of humour which he used quite often during choir practice at King St. church. He was dedicated to his passion for music, his love for all of you, and especially his love of Christ. May God bless you all now and give you comfort.
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of Brian. He was such a lovely man. Through teaching with Lois and Alicia, I had the opportunity to meet Brian and on many occasions always found him to be so friendly and kind, with a huge love for his family. Lois often shared some of the many songs he composed for the students at Emily Carr ( including a school song!) and they aways reflected his incredible musical talent. I am sure the music in Heaven is now even more beautiful as he adds his touch. Sending comforting thoughts and prayers.
Brian was such a kind and patient teacher. I’m so sorry to hear about his passing. It is a big loss for all who knew him. Thinking of Lois and family and sending our love.
Lois, Kevin, Barry and families. We have lifted you all up in our prayers when we heard of Brian’s passing. We well remember the wonderful Christmas musicals he put on both at Royal View and Gospel Temple. May the peace and comfort of our Lord be with you all at this difficult time. Hugs! 🤗🤗🤗
Our deepest condolences . We know Brian has had some challenges over the last couple of years, but was always upbeat and looking at the brighter side of things. His love of family, music, and his faith led him to be a pleasure to talk to when we met getting the mail, or walking dogs. I'm sure he is playing his trumpet, teaching some lessons, and petting Reese.
I fondly remember the laughs we had and the funny “insults” we would throw at one another. Dear Brian, you are missed, and Lois, my sympathy Is with you at this time. My love goes with you Joan
Lois and family, I was sorry to hear that Brian passed away on Easter Saturday. Colin mentioned that they had recorded one more video for Alpha Worship and I thought he "fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith." Because Christ lives, we know that Brian also lives in the reality of what he has honoured all his life. God's peace and comfort be with you. P. Marg Moriyama
Sending our sincere condolences to the family. We have fond memories of our time together sharing the yard with BBQs and birthday parties. Brian was a wonderful and kind man… Geary will welcome Brian to heaven for sure.

Dear Usher Family, I am so sorry to hear of Brian's passing. When I lived in London for 13 years and when I worked for Orchestra London, our paths would cross. I was cleaning out some sheet music recently and found the arrangement of my song "Powerful Message" that Brian arranged for baritone, choir, and string quartet. I'm working on another project right now, that will have a string quartet and I will record this piece, that Brian helped me achieve my vision. Unless you are living within the Nashville region, you interact with Christian musicians and writers. Brian was such a "real person" and he told it to you straight. His faith was everything and I so enjoyed working with him as we could match our faith-to-faith beliefs in a working relationship. At 63 now, having authored a successful international book about overcoming ADHD through song, I'm ready to "produce an album of my own" and it would have been awesome to connect with Brian for some advice. I'll have to chat with him soon, in Heaven on what I did correctly in producing this album. Sending my deepest condolences to you all, the Usher family on the first anniversary of Brian's passing. God bless him for all the amazing seeds that he sowed!
