Andrzej Kesik

Peacefully and surrounded by family at Westmount Gardens on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Bärbel for 32 years. Loving father of Agata (Kevin), Vincent, Jan, and Natalie; step-father of Anke (Daryl) and Annette (Sean). Beloved grandfather of Gavriel, Leo, Kyschia, Cassandra, Emily and Erin.

Andrzej was born in Warsaw, Poland. He was a professor of geography at the University of Waterloo with a specialty in remote sensing. Andrzej was a world traveller and an avid sailor. He sailed the Great Lakes of Canada and even circumnavigated Lake Superior. He was truly an outdoor enthusiast. Andrzej taught his family to enjoy the finer things in life and had a skill to always finding something of the best quality. Joining him on his adventures was the way to connect with him, be it skiing, swimming or on another journey. Andrzej will always be remembered as gentle, generous, thoughtful, reliable and caring.

A memorial service will be conducted at Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road, London on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Registration is required to attend the service and reception. For those unable to attend in person, a livestream will be available for those wishing to view remotely. Those wishing to make a donation in honour of Andrezj are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.
