Dear Marianne, so sad to hear of Dans passing. A kind, gentle soul who was quick to smile. He was a lucky man to have a great wife and lovely family.

~ Colleen and Denis

I am saddened to hear of Dan’s passing. I enjoyed working with Dan until his retirement. It was always a joy talking to him and learning from him. He was a giant man, physically, as well as the space he occupied in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers will be with his family.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dan's recent passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to Marianne and family. Dan was a colleague of mine on the amputee team at St. Mary's /Parkwood Hospital for 25 years in my capacity as Social Worker. He was highly respected for his knowledge and skill as a prosthetist. Just as important he was a good man with a generous nature and wonderful sense of humour who clearly cared about his countless number of prosthetic clients . I was fortunate to be able to call him a friend. He will be greatly missed. Rick Mullen

It is with a heavy heart today, that I pay tribute to Dan. He was such a kind, generous man that would do anything for anyone that was in need, never expecting anything in return! His sense of humour, big smile and bigger laugh, coming from an otherwise pretty quiet guy, always made me laugh. On those many hockey road-trips over the years, he and Marianne, without hesitation, welcomed Dave & I to ‘hitch a ride’ with them for every game and tournament, which made those years ones that I will never forget! I would like to express my sincere condolences to Marianne, D.J., Andrew and their families. Dan the Man, as we so fondly called him, may be gone; but he will never be forgotten!

I am so very sorry to hear this news Marianne, DJ, Andrew and families. I was lucky to work with Dan for many years. Much learning was ‘on the job’, and Dan was an early and ongoing teacher, as well as a respected craftsman. I will miss his sense of fun at team gatherings away from work…the mischievous grin… xo Michele and Martin

Marianne and Family - We are so sad to hear of Dan's passing. I was very lucky to consider him a friend, but also a mentor in the world of amputee prosthetics. I also can't begin to count the number of times I relied on him to provide a venue for "my" (the Amputee Team's) summer pool parties! Our condolences to you all.

Marianne and Family, We are very sorry to hear about the recent passing of Dan. We are very grateful to have known such a great man and will cherish the memories spent together by your pool and our holiday parties. He was dedicated to his work and his patients and we learned so much from him. Thinking of you, Eliana and Dino

I had the privilege of working with Dan on the Southwestern Amputee Team at Parkwood and St Mary’s from 1983 to 2014. He cared a great deal for his patients, and thru his exceptional skills, guided the team to the right decisions. I also had the unfortunate experience of playing poker with Dan. My wallet still suffers. My condolences to Marianne and family.
