Kelly Sue Barker
November 23, 2021
June 9, 1961 – November 23, 2021
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Kelly Barker of London. Kelly remained positive and brave through her illness and fought hard to stay, encouraging all of us to be strong with her.
Kelly was the much-loved daughter of Russell and Anne Barker, both deceased. She was also predeceased by her brother, Russell; his wife, Krisanne; and her brother, Richard. She missed them all very much.
Kelly loved her family above all else and she will be remembered with so much love by her sister, Judie (Rick) Havers of London and her brother, Barry (Tanya) Barker of Sarnia and her partner, Piet Blaauboer of Ailsa Craig. She was the best Mom ever to Emily Doran, London and Jeremy (Rachel) Doran, Toronto who loved her dearly. She was the beloved aunt of Matthew (Andria) Barker, Ottawa, Christopher (Jenn) Havers, Ottawa, Leslie Havers, Toronto, Russell (Meghan) Barker, Luduc, Alberta, Joshua (Kat) Barker, Sarnia, and Sarah Barker, Calgary, Alberta. She was the proud great-aunt of Sydney and Abigail Barker, Kitchener, and Wesley Barker, Sarnia. She will be lovingly remembered by Piet Jr., Josh, Jake and Hannah Blaauboer and the extended Blaauboer family. She will be forever missed by her dear friends, Rose, Bill, Tyler and Hailey Giles. Her absence will be sorely felt by all who knew and loved her.
Kelly was beautiful inside and out. She gave the best hugs and made her family and friends feel important and cherished. She loved being around people and lit up any room with her infectious smile and friendly personality. Kelly made each person she encountered feel special and wanted to make their day better. She genuinely cared about other people and had a kind word for everyone, from family and friends, to store clerks and servers, and went out of her way to make others feel happy and appreciated.
Kelly also had an amazing work ethic. She was committed to the practice and worked hard to ensure each client was satisfied and happy. She was admired and respected by her colleagues and her many clients. The family would like to thank Jeff Elliott and Kim Elliott for their support to Kelly during the time she worked with them and throughout her illness.
The family would like to thank Kelly’s caregivers at the London Regional Cancer Program who tried to find treatment options for her, and the Palliative Care Teams who supported her at home, especially nurse Joanne who was with us till the end.
Kelly was a kind, generous and loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be forever missed and remembered with love.

I met Kelly when I lived in London in 2016-2017. I met her at a time of change and transition in my life. Kelly and I quickly bonded and became fast friends because even though there was an age gap, we saw ourselves as spiritual equals. During that time, Kelly opened her home to me and I lived with her for about 6 months while I was sorting out a new career path. Kelly was warm and made me feel welcome from the beginning and I enjoyed all of the time we got to spend together. We shared a lot of good conversation, good food and lots of laughs. I always felt I could be myself around Kelly. We lifted each other up through difficult times and celebrated good times together. She was and will remain in my heart a truly cherished friend and I will miss her dearly. To Kelly's family and other loved ones, I share in your loss, Kelly had so much to give and I wish we had had more time with her. I was hoping to be able to come to London to say goodbye and I am very sad that that wasn't able to happen in time. Kelly meant a great deal to me and I will continue to carry her spirit of loving whole-heartedly with me. I love you and miss you, dearest Kelly.
Judie, Rick & Family, We extend our Thoughts & Prayers to you all, at the most difficult time.
Kelly was a light. She was always a cheery, and helpful, and knowledgeable person at the end of a telephone line for me as opposing counsel to her firm and clients. I always enjoyed our calls when the work occasion would bring us together. My condolences to her personal and work families at such a loss.
Kelly took care of all of our real estate transactions throughout the years, and we trusted her like family. Kelly was a wonderful, smart, loving human being. We followed Kelly wherever she went cause of the trusted /knowledgeable /professional she was and through the years we became friends ,we just wished we had spent more time together Such a great loss to humanity and especially to us who just adored her to pieces. Kelly, you will be sadly missed, but we must admit we both are relieved to know you are no longer suffering. Till we all meet again. Love forever and always Barry M. and Terry D. . RIP our dear sweet Kelly
My deepest sympathies to Kelly’s family and friends. I was a co-worker of Kelly many years ago. She was a bright light, always joyful and happy. She has left behind many happy memories for anyone who knew her.
Kelly. I know you are OK now, no more pain and your with Auntie Ann and Nanny, Uncle Bud, Glenny, Russell, Chris, Baba, Gedau and everybody! I feel so badly that you had to go through what you went through. I will always always keep you in my heart thinking about when we were little girls walking to the pool in Kitchener and pretending to talk in a different language LOL. Because of Who You Are and your kind kind heart you touched a lot of lives! We will see each other again when that time comes. In the meantime I know you're smiling and happy and I'm so glad we had that time when we were young! Love always ,Kim
Kelly was my first cousin and I am sorry to say that my branch of the family (her mother Ann and my mother Amelia were sisters) have lived far away from the Barkers for many years. But my daughters especially do remember the shared childhood time and feel the loss as much as all the others connected to this wonderful person. We too shall miss her.
So, so sad to hear of Kelly's passing. I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Kelly at the Land Registry Office. She was always upbeat, optimistic and smiling. I always enjoyed discussing our respective travel adventures and even the real estate law stuff (work). Sending you one last great big hug Kelly. You will be missed by so many. Heaven has gained a special angel.
I had the pleasure with working with Kelly for many years. Not only was she my colleague, she was my friend. Kelly was beautiful inside and out. She was kind, generous and selfless. Keep smiling my beautiful angel, you will be greatly missed.
Kelly was such a beautiful soul who always had a smile and truly cared about the people around her. I had the great fortune to work with her many years ago, and was blessed to call her my friend. My condolences to her family and friends…such a great loss for all. Love you Kelly

We would like to extend our condolences to Kelly's family and collegues. Kelly was such a bright light. I met her some 25+ years ago when she was worked with us to close our first house. When she moved to Elliott Law, we went with her. She was always helpful, full of kindness and generosity. I will remember her beautiful smile and warm hugs. We were saddened to hear of her passing in November. Peace to your families.
