Robert James Bradford
September 30, 2021
Born Friday, April 17th, 1931 in London, Ontario, my dad, of Glencoe, passed away at home on Thursday, September 30th, 2021, in his 91st year. Predeceased by mom, his dear wife, Jeannette (2014); parents, Norman (1985) and Rea (1994); sons, David (2012) and Gary (2012). Survived by son Michael (Kim); grandchildren: Kasie, Keith and Korianne; great-grandchildren: Andrew, Sophie, Conner, Lauren; brother, Norm (Dorothy); brother-in-law, Jack MacKinnon (BettyAnn); and niece and nephews. Dad grew up in West London – an avid baseball, tennis, basketball and football player. Soon after graduating Western University, he married Jeannette MacKinnon and began his working career with the federal government at Crown Assets Disposal Corporation. He continued through the ranks until he was Director of Crown Assets reporting to the federal minister and retired after 38 years. Mom and dad enjoyed taking all of us camping, watching and helping us learn sports and other hobbies. Once the boys left home, mom and dad very much enjoyed ballroom dancing at the 30-Up Club in Toronto. Our family followed Dad’s work living in Toronto, Mississauga, Dartmouth, Oakville and Georgetown then to Glencoe at retirement following their sons. Dad’s loving help and direction through life will never be forgotten. Interment will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, 303 Riverside Drive, London on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Robert are asked to consider the London Regional Cancer Program or Diabetes Canada.

Does this happen to be the Robert Bradford that went to Central Collegiate in London? If so, I was his classmate and his nickname was "Monk". He was also the quarterback on the football team.
