It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan Palmquist, announces her passing on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 in London, Ontario. Born on September 25, 1934, in Belfast, Ireland, Joan was the daughter of Robert and May Niblock. Joan is survived by her husband, Bill Palmquist; daughters, Carol Stewart, of Oromocto, NB; Wendy (Tom), of St. Thomas, ON; and Jennifer Stewart VanBeest (Bob) of London, ON; her son, Michael Stewart, of Fredericton, NB; stepson, Bernie Palmquist, of London, ON; and her sister, Patsy McSherry (Ned), of Corby, England. Grandma Joan will be greatly missed by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and May Niblock; sister, Lily; and daughter, Donna Lee Stewart. There will be no service, at Joan’s request. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joan are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Alzheimer Society Canada.
