Beatrice “Bea” C. Nott

July 8, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Beatrice “Bea” Nott, announces her passingin her lovely home on Thursday, July 8th, 2021, in her 95th year. The absolute best Mom to Becky (Tony), Francine (Bruno) and Ian (Lorraine); and grandma to Maxwell, Olivia, Quinten and Eleanor. Always young at heart – she was loved by all her family and their close friends. Our family loved getting together just because, and this past year had been very difficult, but we managed with Mom at the helm. She was a very strong lady having gone through many struggles throughout her life, but always had an abundance of love and nurturing for all us kids and grandkids. She was artfully talented, an avid crafter, always up to creating wonderful invites or decorations. Mom loved to shop, always looking so fashionable. She and Becky would go here, there and everywhere in search of great deals! Mom and Franny had a standing date for wine Wednesdays for many years. Mom, Ian, and Lorraine enjoyed morning visits with Bruce, the dog, over a cup of tea while Eric Clapton was playing in the background, who she considered “her friend”. Bea also got to see Eric Clapton live with Ian for her 80th birthday. She was one of a kind, the best kind! At Bea’s request, there will be no service. Cremation has taken place. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bea are asked to consider the Humane Society London and Middlesex.

Dear Rebecca, Francine and Ian, I was very sad to hear the news that your mother had passed away. I remember her so vividly as such a wonderfully talented and lovely lady. I learned a lot when I came to babysit at your house about creative activities that would entertain everyone- it was always such a pleasure!!! Your mother, and several other original residents of Haighton Road were important role models for me as I was growing up. I know that you all will be heartbroken and miss her terribly. I hope that in time you will only have the warm memories to comfort you and the sadness fade away. I hope you know how universally liked and respected your beautiful mother was by everyone who knew her. Yours truly, Lynda Cooper - the babysitter

Dear Becky, Francine and Ian. I am so sorry to learn that your mom passed away. From what you shared about her, your family had wonderful times together. What a blessing to have had that kind of relationship with her. I have fond memories of Aunt Bea from my childhood. One time she made a beautiful dress for a doll I had---well I still have it and that dress she made. I enjoyed receiving cards from her at Christmas. It was our little way of keeping in touch with each other. With sympathy to you and all of your family Nancy Watkinson
