It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Irene Walsh, of London, at University Hospital on Sunday, May 23, 2021, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of Peter Walsh for 66 years. Loving mother of Janet (Steve) Noyes, Peter (Antoinette) Walsh, and Laurie Walsh. Adored Nanny of Kevin, much-loved Nana of Danika and Christina. Irene was the last remaining child of the Jones family. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Irene are asked to consider the Shriners Hospitals for Children.

Dear Peter, Please accept my condolences on the passing of your wife. While I did not know her personally, I know she had struggles in later years, made more bearable I am sure by your faithful devotion.
Peter, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as you mourn the loss of Irene. I loved chatting with her during PMP. Her presence always added a boost to the group as she shared a special sort of lightheartedness !

Peter we are thinking of you and your family at this difficult time. The devotion you and Irene had for each other did not go unnoticed. Irene's eye rolls when you would share a one line groaner.... Your patience when Irene was busy enjoying the company of others (even thou you were double parked and fearing a ticket). It was a pleasure getting to know both of you on a personal level. Dear Uncle Peter, you were so incredible with Aunt Irene and by her side always. We loved how you teased her and she always had a quick come back that was hysterical. Irene was a much adored Auntie who always had a wonderful smile on her face and a wicked sense of humour. Lots of wonderful memories of her visits to England and our visits to Canada. Irene introduced us to her delicious home cooking including meatloaf, lasagne and banana cake. She was a treasured Auntie to us all and was always just a phone call away across the Pond. Condolences to Peter, Laurie, Janet and Peter Junior and their respective partners. Much love from The Welsh family.
