Lynne Fox

October 17, 2020

Mary Lynne Fox (Lynne) passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 17 surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of Don and loving mother to Wendy Carron (Steve), Brett Carron (Katherine), Pat Carron, Chris Carron (Rose Anne), and loved stepmother to Shari Burgess (Glen) and Paula Schlueter (Dennis). Cherished grandmother to Amanda, Lindsay, Nick, Sierra, Lauryn, Louisa, Zakk, Anna, Will, and great-grandmother of Avery and Jack. Loving Nana to Lyndsay, Lauren, Paul and Michael. She will be missed by her brother Michael and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

Lynne was born in Edmonton, Alberta to Catherine and Alfred Clermont on April 17, 1942. Her family, including three sisters and one brother (Betty Anne, Margot, Sandra, and Michael) had a love of cottage life, creating memories at Seba Beach in Edmonton, Alberta. Her love of cottage life continued with her husband Don at their cottage on Loon Lake, Ontario. Their cottage became a gathering space for friends and family who she loved to host. Her sister, Sandra, was a cottage owner on the same lake, a one-minute walk from door to door.  There were so many amazing meals and fond memories made at Loon Lake with the Hibbards, Schlueters, and all of their cottage community friends and family.

Lynne and Don enjoyed their winters at their home in Ocean Village, Florida. They were very active in this community and they enjoyed golfing together, as well as playing pickleball, biking, walking, and hosting family and friends at their sunny home.

Above all, Lynne enjoyed spending her time with family and friends. She loved entertaining and was always up for an adventure. She had a sparkling sense of fun that was contagious, and her zest for life was admired by everyone. We will miss her joy of life, laughter, and her love of family. She will be dearly missed. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Lynne are asked to consider the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul.

Dear Don, we were very sad to hear of the passing of our dear friend Lynne. We had so many good times with both of you at the cottage and will always treasure those times. Lynne was such a positive and loving person, with a wonderful sense of humour. We always looked forward to our group dinners with you and Lynne, the Hibbard's, and Lorne and Sheila. May all your good memories be with you forever and in time lessen the pain of your loss.

We both feel very fortunate to have known Lynne for so many years, and summer at the cottage always included time with Lynne, Don, Sandra and 'the other' Don. (They are all exceptionally fine people...and Sandra also is greatly missed) Lynne had such an amazing zest for life, smile, laugh, and sense of joy. We were so looking forward to seeing Lynne and Don again this winter in Florida, too. Our thoughts are with Don and family. We were all blessed to have Lynne in our lives.

~ Lorne and Sheila Levy

So sad. Wonderful memories with Lynne & Don and both families, mostly at Loon Lake where they were our next door neighbors & great friends. Many fantastic memories. Keep in touch Don. Thanks Sheri.
