Her smile was as bright and loving as heaven itself. Her countenance was as warm as the sun. Her words were full of wisdom and compassion. Her life was evidence that her thoughts, plans and desires where to please and live for her Lord and Savior Jesus the Christ. I was drawn to her amazing person, she carried heaven in her soul. We became fast friends while attending Gateway church, and when I turned away I sensed that I had been with someone who knew Jesus well. Joyce, I will miss you and so will many others that you have poured your life into here on earth. I was honored to call you friend. I shall see you again in that sweet bye and bye. Till then my thoughts of you will always be of your warm and friendly smile radiating with the love of JESUS.

Dear Doug, This note with our condolences comes perhaps in a most unusual way, but it is nonetheless one filled with sincerity and sadness over the passing of your wife, Joyce. We do not know your new address for which to send a card, and then the other complications brought on by the Co-vid19, so we'll try it this way. We recall our first meeting of Joyce, here in Windsor some 30 years ago; and then the times of family gatherings at Kevin's and Chris's, when Joyce could keep the conversation going, certainly alert, interesting and pleasant always. She will be remembered by many from Windsor. Doug, we look forward to seeing you again. Our friendship has been built on a relationship with the Lord for over some 55 years...and so continues. God bless you.

Only knowing Joyce a few years while Doug was serving on Central's Staff. She was a blessing to so many of our people including me. Her caring heart was evident in everything she said and did. She was friendly, enthusiastic, courageous, artistic, poised, self confident.. and ..God reliant. I'm so thankful at this moment she is in the presence of the Lord and totally healed... We are praying for you Doug and all of your family.

Joyce was a real friend and a delightful person to be around at Church or home .She was a great example of how a person should live in the days we living together. We had many Blessings at Swiss Chalet with Doug and Joyce . Will be greatly missed by Friends and family.

Dear Doug and family: Thinking of you and upholding you to the loving care of your Heavenly Father. I enjoyed the very few opportunities I had to visit with you, Doug and Joyce. You are loved with an everlasting love and underneath are the everlasting arms. I hope Joyce enjoying being in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ will help temper your loss.
