Patricia Anne (née Tooley) Avery

July 13, 2020

Elegance. Spirit. Pure Love. That was Patricia Anne Avery (née Tooley) from the moment she entered this world on March 17, 1945, until the day she left, on Monday, July 13, 2020. She was a stunning, fierce, fire cracker of a lady with a big heart, who adored her family and close friends and was the first to respond when someone was in need. Patricia was always independent and because of her inherited strong family work ethics, she enjoyed over 40 years as a well-respected business woman. Pat was an amazing mother to Kristel and Kristina, a proud Nana to Jenna and Julia and a beloved wife to the late Ken Avery. Predeceased by her parents, Edward and Lillian Tooley. She was a treasured little sister to Beverley Clarkson; sister-in-law to Barbara Hanes and late Robert Clarkson; and aunt to Jane, late Paul, Robert, Scott, Jeff, and Steph. A memorial service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery. Registration is required to attend the visitation and/or service.  To register, please visit >Westview Funeral Chapel’s registration page

Please note: as per the directive of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario, >https://thebao.ca/registrars-directive-changes-to-funeral-and-visitation-attendance/ attendance numbers will be restricted. Please be aware that COVID-19 protocols are in place which may preclude some from being able to attend and masks are mandatory.

Patricia loved all animals, especially her fur-grandbabies and as such, would welcome any of those wishing to commemorate her passing by donating to the Oakville & Milton Humane Society. An alternate option for a donation in memory of Patricia could be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Her family legacy will live on through the values she exemplified, the generosity and compassion she showed and the love she shared.

“I think she cool …. (We do too Lynn)”

We will miss you so much mom.

I knew Paatricia from her volunteering at Wellspring Cancer Support Centre. She was so enthusiastic about life and willing to help out in any way for the members at Wellspring. She will be sadly missed at Wellspring My condolences to Kristina and Kristel. My thoughts are with you. The world has lost a very special lady.

I moved to Bronte Harbour Club late in life, met a nice group of people and was very content with my move, spent many happy hours at social events. As with life there are always some people you 'click' with and I was fortunate to meet those people ...Pat was one of those .. we considered ourselves the fearless foursome! Marilyn, Pat, Sam, Kathleen, and we had so much fun in our too short, but very precious time together. Will always be remembered with love and laughter.

I only knew Pat as my manager at Timmies but from the get-go she left a great impact on me. Not only being a fair boss but also a wonderful person with the heart on the right place. Truly an amazing person who will be deeply missed. My sincere condolences to her family and always remember: Those we love don't go away, They walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, Still loved, still missed and forever dear.

Although I only met Ms Pat once or twice...I feel like I have known her much longer as there truly wasn't a day that my dear friend Kristina would not a share a story or tell me about her beloved muma. Patricia's legacy lives on in her beautiful daughter.
