Teresa Anne Anderson

February 26, 2020

After fighting two cancers like a rock star for 13 months, Terri passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at the age of 73. Adoring wife of John for 50 years. Cherished mother of Samantha (Mike Glowinski) and Brian. Proud Nama/Gramma of Maddy, Harrison and Zoey. She will be missed by her sisters, Jinny Clare and Joni Ashley (John). She was a caring aunt and cousin to family in Nova Scotia and St. Catharines. Fondly loved and remembered by Shauna Parr. Predeceased by her parents, Joe and June Clare, and by her brother, Peter. Terri was born in Hamilton. After graduating from the University of Toronto (Hons. Economics), she and John arrived in London in 1970. She was the secretary to President Colvin at Fanshawe College. After the birth and growth of her two children, Terri returned to Fanshawe to become an economics professor, from which she retired in 2014. Terri was a true fighter with an amazing spirit. She loved travelling especially to the warmth of Florida and the Caribbean and would travel anywhere to help care for her grandkids. She loved all sports, particularly her beloved Blue Jays and was an expert at picking NFL games. She loved all of her children and grandchildren’s game recaps and loved cheering Maddy, Harrison and Zoey. Terri was happiest helping others. She also loved Frank Sinatra and the Beatles. She had passions for relaxing with a book, solving logic problems and crossword puzzles and a good game of bridge. Special thanks to the LHSC – Cancer Program, especially Nurse Practitioner Amy Westbrook and Oncologist, Dr. Raphael. As per Terri’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Terri are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.

Dear Sam, Mike and Family We are deeply sorry for your loss. Death holds no power over love, especially the love of a mother. For this reason, we can never completely lose our mothers. May God give you peace and comfort you in your time of mourning 🙏💛 xo Olga and Angie Saleta

I recently reconnected with your mom via Facebook. We messaged back and forth a few times and was positive and hopeful. She was an amazing woman and I'm so sad to hear of her passing. Bigs hugs to Sam, Brian and your Dad. You are all in my thoughts.❤️

Dear Brian, We were saddened to learn of your family's sad news with the loss of your mom. We enjoyed the occasional meet up in the neighbourhood and chats as she sat out front of the house and we walked by with the dog. Her eyes always lit up when asked about Harrison. May your memories shine through your sorrow and be a comfort for your family during this sad time. Cris and RD
