Wilfred ‘Wilf’ May
February 27, 2020
Passed quietly at Victoria Hospital, on Thursday, February 27, 2020, in his 83rd year. Treasured husband of the late Roberta May (2020). Dearly loved and respected Dad of Teri May (Dave Durocher). Honourary grandfather of Christine Durocher. He will be mourned by his nieces and nephews: Mark, Scott, John, Linda, Michael, Debbie and Cindy. Predeceased by his brothers Ralph and Ross. Wilf was a complicated man who worked tirelessly for everything he achieved. A self-made businessman, he instilled a sense of pride and diligence in his family. Although a hard worker, he also liked to play hard; travelling, fine dining, boating, fishing, and avid cheerleading for his Blue Jays. All of this, accompanied by an excellent glass (or two) of white wine. Cremation has taken place. Due to COVID-19, there will be no service. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Wilf are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Lung Health Foundation.

Teri, there are not enough words I can say for the loss of your dad so shortly after your mom. I have not known your dad very well but there are a few memories I have of him that always make me smile when I think of them. I hope you know that there are a lot of people thinking of you during this time and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love Linda and Gino
I am deeply sorry to hear this news. I was grateful to work with Wilf over the last year. He had a dry sense of humor and was always talking about fishing or football. Sending my deepest condolences to the Family.
Teri, I am saddened to read that you have lost your father and friend, and I know how proud of you he was always. I know he took the loss of your mother very hard and my heart goes out to you at this difficult time. Know that they are together again hand in hand, and when you feel a special sense of warmth it is the two of them giving you a warm, reassuring and loving hug. I felt that when your mother passed, he would follow not long after so they could take care of each other, and continue their love story again. They shared a special bond and this now continues, so rest assured they are keeping a watchful and loving eye over you still. They are both in my prayers. Be brave and know you have the best of both of them in you. M. Harris, London, ON.
Teri: I joined the Firm at Parkside 6 years ago, and at that time your Dad's comments were: "I am not a micro-manager, you do your thing and we won't have any issues". He was a man of his word and I very much enjoyed working with him. I will miss his morning greeting as he passed by my Office. Audrey and I pray that you will find the courage to face tomorrow in the love that surrounds you today.
I'm so sorry to hear about your mom and dad Terry. I worked a lot with your dad before I sold my company and not too long a go we had lunch together. He was a great guy and I will miss him.
Teri, I am so sorry for the loss of your mom and dad in such a short span. They were wonderful people who welcomed me into the family and made me feel right at home. On fishing trips with your dad he always spoke of you with so much pride. Always a man of few words he never spared them when he talked about you and your mom. I know on opening day he will be there with you (beer and peanuts close by) Deepest condolences as well from Audrey.
All our love to you and everyone in your family during such a trying time. We are deeply sorry and send heartfelt condolences. You are in our thoughts always. We love you, Scott, Chrystal, Hunter and Reiden
Teri, it is beyond belief that you have lost both your parents within a month. You are definitely in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We so loved both your parents and we have so many great memories of the fun times we shared. They were both very special people. I know you will get through this as you have inherited your strength from both of them. Thoughts and prayers to you and the family.
Dear Teri, First of all, to lose both parents within a month is beyond difficult and cruel, and you know my thoughts are with you. I knew your father since we were very young, and your tribute to him was spot on! He would appreciate your words, and your humour that you did get from him. Rest In Peace Wilf, and Roberta, take good care of him now as you did all the years on this earth. My deepest sympathy to the entire family. Joanne
Roberta and Family, Wilf was an absolutely wonderful man who I was lucky enough to call my boss and mentor. He is going to be grieved and missed dearly by all. I am thankful that I was lucky enough to experience his influence, even if only for a few short years. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.

Teri, I am so deeply sorry for the loss of two wonderful people such as your mom and dad, No one should ever have to go through so much pain and suffering in such a short time span but you've done so with grace and dignity. Wilf and Roberta always made me feel like I was part of the family from day one and treated me like one of their own. I feel truly lucky to be able to say that I had opportunity to have gotten to make many memories with them including many beautiful afternoons in the pool with Roberta and Wilf patiently watching every trick or jump from the diving board. Condolences and hugs to you Teri. Love Christine
