Joan (née Delaney) Mathers

Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, on Sunday, February 2, 2020, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth “Ken” Mathers (2014). Loving mother of Linda Macdonald, Thomas “Tom” Mathers (Rose), and Dawn Meikle. Loved Grandma of Nicole (Rob), Cherie, Kyle (Katie), Joel (Cara), Cooper, Sydney, Keira, Andrew, and Heather. Missed by her cherished nine great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Doreen Dunn (Larry) and Fred Delaney (Sherry). She will be missed by her extended family and friends. Joan always enjoyed planning and participating in many a good time. She loved the beach, with the wind in her hair and the sun on her face. She captured these moments in her many journals, and passed her love of life to those around her. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Monday, February 17, 2020 at 1:00 p.m., with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Joan are asked to consider a charity of your choice.
