Julie was the fulltime president for Local 102 for several years prior to becoming a OPSEU Staff Representative in Region 1. She participated in Region 1 Area Council and the London and District Labour Council and was always ready to support a picket line and stand up for others. Julie always had time for members. Her activism and commitment to the members will be missed by all. In solidarity, The OPSSU Members

Julie had a passion for helping people that was hard to beat. She was a terrific advocate for OPSEU members and we were very fortunate to have her as a colleague. She loved her family and she will definitely be missed. Julie, be at peace, your work here is done.

Julie was a good friend and co worker. She was so happy to work at OPSEU. Even when things were hard she held on to the the passion she had for helping people. Julie will be missed by many. I know when Julie had to take time off work she struggled with that. She wanted to be at work so badly that even when I visited her last week she mentioned how sad she was that she wouldn't make it back. Julie was kind and generous and I will miss her everyday. Love and prayers to Seth and Jeff. Rest in Power Julie. Xoxo

I worked with Julie in VWAP about six years ago. There really are no words. You are in the thoughts of everyone whose lives Julie touched over her liftime. So very, very sorry for your loss.

Julie McGuffin inspired me so much that I actually wanted to follow in her footsteps and ran for President of Local 102 when she went on to work for OPSEU as a staff rep. She was always so responsive to members, well educated, confident, responsible and pragmatic that I held her in very high esteem. I will miss her quiet support at the London Regional Office beyond words to express. My deepest sympathy to her loving family and friends. She will forever be remembered.
