Peacefully at McCormick Home after a lengthy illness, with his daughter by his side, on Saturday, October 26, 2019, in his 90th year. Beloved and devoted husband of the late Rose (Jan. 12, 2019) for 66 years. Loving and devoted father of Rosemary (Dan) and the late Irene. Cherished Grandpa of Andrew. Dear brother of Jayne Toews (the late Al) of Winnipeg. Also missed by his many family and friends. Predeceased by his parents, Adam and Katharina. Although Fred excelled in his profession, his family, friends, and church were at the centre of his life. His family would like to thank the McCormick Home ‘family’ for the compassionate and conscientious care provided to Fred. A funeral service will be conducted at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London on Thursday, October 31, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Oakland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Fred are asked to consider Friends of the Orphans (Dominican Republic), the McCormick Care Foundation or their charity of choice.

Dear Rosemary, Dan and Andrew: So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I was surprised to read that he was 90 years old. I understand that the last few weeks have been especially challenging. Rosemary, you have been a devoted daughter. My sympathies to you and your family. Alice Agocs

Dear Rosemary and Family We are so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. Fred was a very special person to the Carlson family, his years employed my my Father Ed Carlson, his hard work and loyalty are fondly remembered. Fred joined the firm as a teenager to started his apprenticeship program, became a journey, foreman, project manager and then manager of the commercial division until his retirement in late 70's early 80's We are also sad to hear of your Mother Rose's passing this year, also a special person.
