Mary Louise Douglas-Dubois

It is with much sadness I report that Mary Lou has made her final exit on Monday, August 26, 2019 (which in fact was her 83rd birthday). She was my friend, companion, lover and wife for many years. Mary Lou was friends to everyone. She didn’t have an enemy in the world. Physical fitness was her credo and she taught it for years at the Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging at Western University, London, Ontario. Mary Lou was predeceased by her parents John Gordon Douglas and Grace Douglas, and her oldest daughter Nora Armstrong. She is survived by her son Jeff Georgas and youngest daughter Jenifer Douglas, her sister Paula Campbell, her granddaughter Andrea, grandson Graham, great-grandchildren Nora Jane, Aidan and Evie, and her husband John R. “Jack” Dubois. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at RiverBend Golf Community on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, from 2:00 ~ 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mary Lou’s favourite charity: Western University – Canadian Centre for Activity and Aging.

Jack, Lyn and I were so sorry to read of Mary Lou's passing. We were looking you two up on the internet, reminiscing about so many good times and some not so good. Hope you are holding your own through this epidemic. We are surviving with some help from our two sons Teck and Nick. Send us a note sometime. Larry and Lyn Beahan

Mary Lou was a delight to know and we enjoyed talking about food prior to the CCAA class starting like Unger's scotch eggs and luscious chocolate cake! She will be missed for her upbeat manner and her dazzling smile!
Jenifer thank you so much for informing me of your mom's passing. Mary Lou was a very special lady! She was a gorgeous model for Escape fashion shows and TV commercials and a very dedicated employee. We so miss seeing Mary Lou's beautiful smile at our Monday, Wednesday and Friday classes at CCAA. She was an inspiration to us all to keep exercising.
Jack, Jenifer, Jeff and Paula, My sincere condolences! Mary Lou was a big part of my life in London ON. Someone who was a friend, coworker and mentor for over 20 years. Her "Joie de vivre" is ever present in my memory and we will do all we can at the CCAA to keep her spirit with us. My condolences Uncle Jack. I so admired how supportive and loving Marylou was to you and others. Our family will cherish the memories of your annual Thanksgiving visits!! You two always lent a helping hand, be it - last minute deviled eggs appetizers to mixing up the traditional Manhattan drinks. You are a very lucky and blessed man to have had Marylou in your life.
Today is only day 3 and I miss her with all me heart.I love hearing from her friends from all walks of life, so please share stories as you can.Thank you.
My deepest sympathy to you Jack and the rest of the family. I did not know any of you but thinking of your loss in the passing of a sweet person namely Mary Lou. I knew Mary Lou through my church which she attended. We became friends through talking to each other at the Cancer Clinic where we were having chemo. I also have Stage 4 Cancer similar to Mary Lou with some changes. I'm fighting for myself and in memory of Mary Lou. I will miss her very much. What a sweet person. Rest in Peace.

A bright light went out in London when Mary Lou died. She was the best kind of friend- sensitive and sensible, funny, kind and thoughtful. Mary Lou helped so many people cope with challenges using such energy and good humor that her very presence was part of the solution. She will be greatly missed by her husband and family, but also by her many friends.
Im so very sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved wife Dr. Dubois. You always spoke so highly of her and I know she was a good and special lady. She has now returned home. Find comfort in the fact she is embarking on a new life and adventure with our Lord. God be with you and the family at this time.

She was my insstructor at CCAA for many , many years and very highly Appreciated by so many, WE also attendde the same Church so continured our friendship there.
