Arthur ‘Art’ Robert Knight
March 7, 2019
Passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Parkwood Hospital, London, on Thursday, March 7th, 2019, in his 77th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 32 years, Cindy; by his children Cindra Kennedy (Steven), Robert Knight (Lisa), and Dianne Weibe (Jaime); by his step-sons Richard Swan (Elaine) and David Swan; and by 9 grandchildren: Kelsey Brown (Jeramie), Breanna and Jaxin Kennedy, Shane Knight, Rick and Mark Swan, Brandon, Nicky and Matthew Swan. He also leaves his great-granddaughter, Ivy Joan Brown. Art had a successful 39-year career with 3M Canada, initially in Winnipeg, and then London. He was an avid golfer at Sunningdale and, in his retirement years, became an accomplished wood-worker, making many luxurious pieces of furniture when he wasn’t walking his Shih Tzu dog in Springbank Park with other dog walkers, or wintering in Florida. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where a celebration of life service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Private family interment at Woodland Cemetery. A reception and time of fellowship will follow at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff and doctors at University Hospital and Parkwood Hospital for the kind and compassionate care given to Art. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society London & Middlesex or to a charity of your choice

Cindy, I am sorry to learn of Art's death, and wanted to offer my condolences. You and I played golf together many years ago at Sunningdale. You suggested Court Whist as a game to play once our golfing season ended, and it ran for several years. I still think of you now as I have run it at RIverBend for 14 years -- and the girls still love it. Best wishes to you and your family! Sincerely Lorraine Jardine
