My father and Marilyn's father were lfe long best friends back in Stratford, Ontario and that meant many visits to the Knepflar house back in my youth. I got to know all the "Knepflar girls" back in the day and what a family it was! My most sincere condolences to the family at this time.

I am so sorry to hear about Marilyn's passing. She was a wonderful, smart, caring teacher and colleague and I loved working with her at Emily Carr. The students loved her, and she continued to show her true love of teaching and working with children as a volunteer for many years after retiring. I enjoyed Friday "Poet Meetings" after school with her. She will be truly missed. Thinking about the family and keeping you in my prayers.

I had the great privilege of working with Marilyn at Emily Carr School. She was a kind caring teacher who positively affected the lives of many students in her care. I remember her organizing the Terry Fox Run for many years at Emily Carr, ably encouraging enthusiastic participation from the students. In later years we had many lovely chats as she generously gave of her time in our school library. Offering my sincerest sympathy to all of you and pray that in time, happy memories of her will comfort you.
