Wilbert “Bill” Daniel Luxton

Passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018, at LHSC – University Hospital, at the age of 88. Loving husband of the late Verla (2017) for over 60 years. Beloved father of sons John and Jeffrey (Suzanne). Proud grandfather of Matthew and Nicole, and their puppy Tucker. Predeceased by his three brothers: Elgin, Fred, and Bob. Proud uncle of several loving nieces and nephews. Bill will also be truly missed by extended family and many friends. Bill had a successful career at General Motors Diesel Division in London for over 36 years and was a life member of Kilwinning Lodge #64, Scottish Rite, the Royal Order of Scotland and the Mocha Shrine. Bill and Verla were longstanding members of St. George’s Anglican Church in London. A special thank you to all the staff at Chelsey Park and University Hospital for their care and compassion. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., with a masonic service under the auspices of Kilwinning Lodge #64 at 6:30 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bill are asked to consider a charity of your choice.

My deepest condolences to Bill's family.I have fond memories of Bill as a gentleman and as a great storyteller.He became a patient of mine in 1997 and even if he was in pain he was always pleasant. Bill also was a friend of my Dad's who died this past August. Now they are together again telling stories!
