1936-2018
On Thursday, September 6th, 2018, Max went to be with his Lord and Saviour, whom he loved and served. He is survived by his beloved wife and sweetheart, Patricia Anne (Doherty) of 52 years. They were blessed with six children and 15 grandchildren: Joy (Wallace) McGuire and Jessica; Trish Stringer (Graham) and Steven, Nathan and Ryan; John Boyachek (Sandy) and Benjamin, Joshua and Nelena; Jim Boyachek (Jaime) and Juliana, John and Jaysa; Janet Hallam (Chris) and Emily; Joe Boyachek (Heather) and Leila, Chandler, Lex and Eva. Max is survived by his brothers: Ron Boyd (Lil), Ted Boyachek (Lydia), Edward Boyachek (Isabelle), and Alfred Boyachek. He is predeceased by his parents, Peter (1988) and Jean (2004) Boyachek and sister-in-law Linda Boyachek (2016). He was loved by many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Max was born and raised in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba and graduated with an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba. He was employed with Northern Telecom for 34 years and part of the Lamko Tool and Mold family for over 22 years. Max was a faithful member of WestPark Church for over 35 years, where he served in many ways with enthusiasm and joy. His passions in life were farming, serving on numerous boards, deep theology discussions, classical music, performing magic shows for any kid that would watch, and running. He especially loved spending time with his grandkids, playing, running, building and tiring them out before he was tired. Max lived his faith in a contagious way every day and loved anyone that crossed his path. Family and friends will be received on Monday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London. A memorial service to celebrate Max’s life will be held at WESTPARK CHURCH, 955 Gainsborough Road, London on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to WestPark Church, Heritage College and Seminary or LHSF – Cancer Program (Bladder Cancer Research).

I am very sad to see of Max's death. He and his family were my friends and mentors when I was in Manitoba many years ago. I always think of his mother and father with great affection and of their many kindness's to me. Max had an air of peaceful about him and in a family of 5 boys that was very refreshing. Rest in Peace
Pat & Family So saddened by the sudden loss of your loving partner., father, and grandfather. We will never forget the time we spent at your home during Expo 67 in Montreal. We were grateful for the help you both gave us to find our way to the Expo grounds and the visits we had while we were there. Thanks to Ron Boyd for suggesting we stay with you and your small family at that time. Max was a wonderful person and may the Lord look after him now in Heaven. Though we have long been in touch with Max and his family only through "news" from others, Max was a wonderful part of that extraordinary youth group at Snowdon Baptist in Montreal back in the day. We were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of cousin Max Boyachek. He battled cancer and yet remained so optomistic and positive which was inspiring. We pray that God will give family members strength and comfort at this very difficult time
Dear Pat: It has been a long tine since we connected. We were saddened to learn of Max's passing and extend our sincere condolences to you and your family. We have many fond memories of Max when he was very active with the youth group at Snowdon Baptist many years ago. May the Lord be a source of comfort at this time of loss.
To the Boyachek family: Arnie and I are deeply saddened at the sudden loss of our friend Max. We enjoyed his humor and the twinkle in his eye. He certainly ran the race of life and finished well. Our deepest sympathy to the Boyachek family.
To the Boyachek family: I was most saddened to hear of Max's passing. I first met Max in the early 1980's at Northern Telecom when he became my boss, and I, his secretary. We had an instant rapport and soon developed a friendship. Throughout those years, I learned that he was a devout Christian, who cherished and adored his family; he would often share memorable stories of them with me. His passing will leave an immense void in the lives of so many. Max has now finished his journey...one in which he lived and enjoyed to the fullest; he knew he was truly blessed. He now soares with the angels and I believe he will be rewarded for his unwavering faith through all his life struggles. To the family.... you will grieve for him but there will be times when you will feel the touch of his hand on your shoulder, and you will know that he is walking with you.
