Suddenly on Friday, August 31, 2018, George Fennema, of London. Beloved husband of Christine. Cherished father of Jennifer Peat (Jamie), and Tim Fennema, and stepfather of Arthur Fair. Proud “Grandpa George” of Corey, Trent, Mason, Kennedy and Avery. George is survived by his sister, MaryAnn Winker (Alex), and will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. at WESTVIEW FUNERAL CHAPEL, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, where the funeral service will be conducted on Friday, September 7th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of George are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

To the entire Fennema family, my deepest deepest condolences in the sudden loss of our beloved George. Remember him deeply in your memories, so that he lives on forever. He was a most honourable and loving man, to his family and his friends. He was a best friend to me for over 58 years since the age of 14. Many good years, many laughs, tears, and good honest companionship over our lifetime. Deeply honoured that I spent most of the final day of his life, working along side of him, doing his beloved Londoner. George you will never leave my heart and memory, you truly were more like a brother than a friend to me over the 58 years of our lives. Deeply in tears over your leaving this earth, but I know you have found peace in the arms of our dear Lord. God Bless, and rest in peace, till we meet again, my dearly loved friend. Geoff.
